Omnimorphs fairness manifesto

More often than not, the value of an NFT collectible token is dependent on the rarity of its traits. For this reason, fair and random collection generation and distribution are of paramount importance.

We have devised a system that makes the generation of the Omnimorphs collection transparent, fair, repeatable, and also …fun. We’ll also give a brief outline below on how the tokens will be distributed and what measures we’re taking to keep everything fair around the launch.

The distribution process

Before the presale, we will reserve the first 125 tokens from the contract of which:

• Founders will get 3 each (that’s 9)
• A handful will go to founders’ friends and family (32 in total for the three founders)
• Some will be transferred to Twitter and Discord giveaway winners (17)
• Some will be transferred to artists who supported the project early on (11)
• Some will be transferred to winners of the derivative contest (7)
• Some will be transferred to our moderators as (ERC-721) tokens of our gratitude for their work (8)
• The rest of this sum will be kept for future marketing activities and strategic partnerships

We’ll also hand out a total of 1600 presale passes to our Discord members + a handful to partners and other artists who supported the project, and of course, our moderators.

Most passes will make their owners eligible for 2 mints, but 3 is the absolute maximum that one can mint with a pass.

We Expect 30–35% of the collection to go on presale with this system.

The rest of the tokens will go on public sale (with bot protection mechanics added, in light of recent events — more on this later).

The generation process

Our fair generation process will go as follows:

• After we reserved the first 125 tokens, we will hold a giveaway on Discord with 6 winners
• The prize for this giveaway will be, that the 6 winners will have their Discord DNA merged into the Omnimorphs collection forever 🤯
• We’ll take the Discord ids of these 6 winners, and also the Discord ids of our 6 moderators and sha256 hash them together
• This hash will be used as the random seed for generating the final Omnimorphs collection
• We’ll post this hash to Github + IPFS + the Ethereum blockchain in a transaction
• After reveal we’ll share the script on Github, so anyone can run it locally and make sure that the generation yields the same result as the final collection
